We are the last of our kind
The rest, either perished or went blind
The sun hides behind the moon
Earth has met its doom
All of their warnings were very true
Global warming, sprouted wings and flew
Tsunamis raged on for lost redemption
Swallowed up lands, gulped down my nation
Volcanoes overshadowed the skies
Up to where the migrating bird flies
Distant lands were all shaken
This could not be mistaken
The land split open wide
Swallowed down a whole town’s pride
Destroyed all incredulous daydreams
To the back beat of human screams
Raging cold shut down all life
Frozen in an instant, no more strife
People lucky enough, were locked indoors
No food, no clothes, no stores
I’ve watched as loved ones perished
The wicked and the cruel now lavished
Time since long has stopped counting
All tales I could tell are very daunting
The mountains crumbled
High houses tumbled
Old men grumbled
All mankind fumbled
