BETRAYAL

BETRAYAL

 Corrupted by sleaze
All he can think of is my niece
My friend who’s no longer a friend
Has chosen his path, can’t pretend

Warned him all his life
Yet he jumps back on the knife
Knows the ending is painful
His actions still disdainful

I know he’s my friend
Shared life’s best moments together
Sadly this is all I can take
Our friendship must break

His fault or mine
I really don’t know
All that I do is… this is it!
Far too long have I been in the back seat

Another woman between friends
This happens to be a common trend
He fell for her luminous flux
All this really, just sucks

Why does love generate so much hatred?
Why does love only come between friends?
This thing’s over, I’ve got to quit
Go to the corner and pretend to sit

I’ve stood up so many times for you
Been punched in the chest
Just to get your back
It’s just common courtesy you lack

You’ve known me so long
How could you do this?
Tell me what symptoms did I miss?
What had gone so amiss?

INFANTILE KILLER

INFANTILE KILLER

Infantile killer
Slays people in their sleep
Think of all that you’ve done
‘cause now, it’s your turn son

Don’t try to avoid sleep
You can’t even sit and weep
He’s coming for you tonight
Go ahead and switch on every light

Your behavior is your death
Hurry up and grow up
Take up your responsibility
Hurry up; he’s in your city

Do you like to be strangled?
Lie in your bed all mangled?
Let’s count some sheep
Make sure you sleep deep

Wake up! Your windows open!
A wicked tree grimaces from your window
Run and hide in your secret closet!
It is what is the closest

Swallow your scared voice
Close your frightened eyes
Be still, this the silence
Which follows the kill

Did you see that?
A shadow just passed by
It’s him, he’s here for you
Can’t see you, he has no clue

It has been hours into the night
I’m all cowered up in fright
My blood has run cold
Just as the man across’ soul

He has left me tonight
I promise, I’ll live my life right
I’ll kiss all the puppies and babies I see
Only then my future I can foresee

SOLITARY MAN

Solitary Man

Solitary old man, seventy six years old
Always has been tired and lonely
all day long, Sits on his chair
Besides his late wife, no one has sat by his side

Had three children of his own
No one's ever called up on him
Sits rocking in his chair
Looking straight into nowhere

The neighbours walk by
Shaking their heads
They unwillingly wave their hands
Offer a fake cheerful smile

Yet he’s as lonely, as anyone gets
Time keeps slipping by, slowly at best
No garden to tend to, the weeds have the court
Shadow of ages, keeps choking his heart

Solitary old man, still sits there all day long
No one to tell, if he were dead
Yet no one checked, no one cared
His chair rocked all day, no children to play

He’s missing from his spot
Hours went by, no one cares
Days go by, still not there
He’s found his peace, rid of this disease

His children showed up, not to his grave
Just to settle matters, on who gets the house
No one would live this in this mouldy old place
It was left to die in servitude, as its lonely owner

IN SHACKLES

In shackles

Hail to the lord of the twelve tribes
Hail to the lord who forgives
My sins uncountable, unaccountable
I bow my head down to pray

Born as the savior to his people
He went ahead and saved the world
Showed us why love is so important
Delivered us from our ways of hate

He was the one true uncorruptable man
The devil tried many times in vain
Brought back the dead from their sleep
Cured every other man alike

No prejudice was in his heart
Always preached that right from the start
Broke the shackles that withheld society
Changed the laws where they needed to be

He was tried in an unfair court
Punished severely for nothing at all
Was called mad man and spit upon
Yet anger never did trump on him

For three hours, the skies were dark
The day our lord and savior was killed
He did return after three days
To tell his disciples the word of peace

COUNTRYSIDE LOVE

Countryside Love

 Pretty as a picture
I smile  at you for a while
You trick me into kissing you
I’m happy to oblige

Tender and soft, so fragile
So fragile, yet agile
I take you in my arms
Feel your soft warmth

Let’s take our bikes out
Go along the countryside
I’ll lie in your lap, at the campsite
We’ll count the clouds, till the stars arrive

Just you & I, alone and high
Keep me alive, till we divide
Stop teasing me, you know what I want
Don’t blush; it’s the truth nothing more

Keep looking into my eyes
I’ll keep you warm all night
We’ll make love by the campfire
When the cool moon shines

Let’s tie up your dreams and worries
Keep them aside for a while
Keep staring at the moon and stars
Then get things set right

DIRE CIRCUMSTANCES

Dire Circumstances

 What would you give up?
To save someone you love?
What if what you did made no difference?
Would you still do it?
Will it give you satisfaction if any?
Don’t take too long to answer sonny.

You stick the blade in my back
Just as I turn around
How could you do this?
We were friends, two minutes ago
Did something change just now?
Or did some seed of vengeance since long grow?

I stand corrected, as you’ve directed
Man is a complex being
Our thoughts and actions never did match
Some other factor makes us act on instinct
It makes me do, things I’d never do
I can claim to be innocent, it’s just not true

Conflicting actions in everyman’s doing
Say something and do something else
What is in the heart is never disclosed
Right from the very start
What would make someone choose this?
How could anyone know this?

Dissented, disgruntled, annoyed but alive
At that moment life won’t matter
Lashing out is all they do
But when it comes to your physical presence
You run and take cover like a little Polly girl
While all around you, things start to swirl

I went down the rabbit hole, saw the mole
We drilled all night, so couldn’t run the poll
All stood in dismay, the vultures all play
We were too depressed to stay
I tried speaking to them of this situation
My words however had no stimulation

It still haunts me on some vary night
I could’ve set all things right
She had feelings I couldn’t comprehend
I was just frustrated at this dead end
What would you give up,
For someone you love?

HARVEST TIME

Harvest Time
[Dedicated to Terrence Malick]

Days of heaven
I’ve spent on earth
I’ll tell you what
You can listen from the start

I walk by fields ripe and ready
They brush against me and pull me in
I can’t help but smile at,
The Nature’s beauty bestowed upon me

There was a huge canvas tent at the centre
Where the busybody harvesters lived
Their beady eyes follow me as I walk
I reply their nods with one of my own

Feasts for the almighty are offered everyday
No sacrifice by day or night was ever made
Peaceful people lived on my land
Just here to gather the crop and disappear

There was this spring that I recall
Kids used to hide and watch
As the fair maiden took their long bath
This amused them a lot

The herdsmen let the cattle graze
They chattered on something that barely mattered
Nothing here ever went wrong
Yet they stood guard all day long

No worry never woke me from my slumber
No thieving grunt was of concern
There was harmony all day all the way
Children played, donkeys brayed, as I strolled

I lived in a mansion unlike the rest
The sun starts to rest as the night invades
I sat on the verandah and gazed
The Brilliant colours of the sunset blazed

With all work done, the land left looking bald
The workers were packing to be back the next fall
I was busy counting crop, while they dispersed
I too did the very same, on my bright blue biplane.

BABY BLUE

Baby Blue

I am just a stranger
But you could’ve known me longer
You sway to the music I play
I too am havin’ a good day

You glide across the room, closer & closer
But baby, I am just a roamer
You make me feel like, you and I belong together
You touch your lips, honey dew drips

Down your lips

All the way!
Oh lord! All the way!
But baby, I can’t stay
Let’s just call it a day

I was a happy and a naïve fool
My guitar strummed along the neighbour’s pool
I saw in awe as you took a swim
I was never the same again

You play with my heart, don’t give me a start
You smile at me, you work of art
But I’m really just a fallen bird
Your silken voice was what I heard

Then,I fell

All the way!
Oh lord! All the way!
Babe I really can’t stay
I’ve got to go away

Go away
All the way
Far away
Please let me stay

CONSEQUENCEs

CONSEQUENCEs

MAD DOG BIT THE RAPPER
HE RAN AND FELL DOWN IN THE GUTTER
DAZED AND CONFUSED
MOM STILL REFUSED

BABY BORN PLAYIN’ WITH A CONDOM
LET’S PICK AND CHOOSE AT RANDOM
INTELLIGENT CHIMP PULLS ON THE TRAINER’S BRA
SHE FLIPS OUT AND SCREAMS, THIS IS THE LAST STRAW

STRANGE LITTLE PLACE WE LIVE IN
SHE SAYS WE WERE ALL BORN IN SIN
DOG DID BITE THE DUST
NOW HIS COLLAR SITS TO RUST

NO ONE RESPONSIBLE TO KILL
THE CHIMP GETS HIS FILL
BITES ON HIS TRAINER’S ASS
CHUNK OF HER, NOW SITS ON THE GRASS

THE CONDOM UP HIS NOSE, BABY SUFFOCATES
NO ONE TO STOP HIM BEFORE HE VACATES
SAINT PETER CALLS HIS NAME
SAYS, “YOUR PARENTS SURE ARE LAME.”

STRANGE LITTLE PLACE WE LIVE IN
SHE SAYS WE WERE ALL BORN IN SIN
RAPPER NOW LIVES AT HIS MOM’S
SLEEPS AT NIGHT WITH HIS LANCE

A WARRIOR'S PLIGHT

A Warriors Plight

Long ago in the land of winter
Where the sun never shone
Lived a warrior, whose profession was to kill
It rained at night and the snow glowed bright

He leaned on his wife

She cried all night
Nine months went by and his wife died
Leaving behind her legacy crying in a rag

War lasted forever, snow everywhere
The warrior struck his spear through every other man
Blood froze in the snow and looked aglow
The village was massacred in a single fight

Oh, what a sight to behold!
Women lie listless, mishandled and mangled
His mistress met with the same plight, he cried that night
He prayed for darkness, so he could rest

Taken to the west, to slave for men
Who looked not like him
When he was freed, he ripped every heart apart
Until his own was plunged upon

He shook violently for once, then laid still forever
No tombstone was ever made
We can never know his name, just the same
His brothers of the village met with same fate

Far away, A withered leaf falls in the spring
Carried far off before being lodged
In a crevice not so large
It’ll stay there forever till it is returned to the maker’s hands
May he rest in peace

TAINTED SOUL

TAINTED SOUL

[A Man Ponders real hard And Realizes His Destiny in The End]

Rivers of scum
Pass through my town
The very sight
Reminds me of the blight

People who could care less
Pass me by all day
I could stand and shout
No one would turn about

I wish I could leave all this
This pseudo city of cities
I could be lost forever
In the forests of fairever

Will I ever find peace?
From this eternal hatred
Just some release
From this ragged disease

Is death really the answer?
Will I finally find some peace
Or will this treacherous place
Even dig up my grave?

Please let me be
You sure can see
I want to leave
Please ye olde reeve

Just forget me
I’ll never come back
You don’t have to taint my soul
Or eat me up whole

Mind over matter
How will it make any difference?
I must accept and resolve
Or I could never evolve

Prying eyes feast upon my soul
Sleaze and filth fill up the street
Thrust this pike in my heart
Run away if you’re really smart

‘cause I’ll go on a rampage
Kill you all I can find
I’ll tear you up whole
And glare at you soul

ha
ha ha
ha ha ha
